Is this a battery problem?

Just got my bike out for the spring and I am wondering if I am having a problem with my battery.
When I first installed my battery (had it out of the bike for the winter), there was not enough juice in it, so I boosted it which let me run and drive the bike, but once I turned it off there wasn't enough juice left to turn it over.
I've since put it on a charger and it seems to hold enough charge to start the bike, run the electrical, etc. But now, as soon as I put it into first, it stalls. (kickstand is up). It starts up fine again, but as soon as I put it into first it stalls immediately.
Should I just go ahead and replace the battery, put it on a deep cycle charger, or something else?
